I highly doubt that. You probably fitted a bore kit, not got the original barrel bored out. If you did id like to know how long it lasts!

I seriously doubt it does an actual 56. It might do an indicated 56 with an actual speed of around 45-50mph. As for how much faster it will go, I dont know. Wait and see. Id expect better acceleration and a little better top end but it depends on a lot of factors.

Also, as im sure your aware a 16 year old on L plates (with a provisional licence and a CBT) is only allowed to ride a moped with an engine capacity not in excess of 50cc and a top speed of 31 mph (or 28mph if its a more modern one). By derestricting the moped it becomes a motorcycle. This is not only illegal for a 16 year old to ride but is also illegal for anyone on a full motorcycle licence to ride for a couple of reasons:

1) It is a mis-registered vehicle. Because its been derestricted it is now classed as a motorcycle and you should re-register it as such. This will probably involve an IVA test or at least a DVLA inspection.

2) Because you have increased the engine capacity with a kit that is no doubt not for road use, the vehicle would not pass the aforementioned test and is even more illegal to ride because of the mis-declared engine size.

And all this is before we even get onto undeclared modifications on insurance policies.
