Hi,all.

I need some advice on my first bike. I'm a newbie. Dunno anything about bikes. Well just the basic. I'm seventeen yr old and i think it's time i got myself a bike.

I'm thinking on buying the Honda NSR 50cc but have my doubts about the weight of the bike and size.(I ain't very tall) So, is the NSR the best for me?

Plz Help \o/ thx

If you are seventeen then don't buy a 50.

Buy an NSR125 and be happy! The height and weight won't be an issue at all, I am five foot five and a half and I ride a 200kg (dry) Triumph.

My first bike was a Honda NS125R (slightly different from an NSR)
and it was fantastic. It cost me £800 and I sold it a year later for the same amount.

I would advise that you don't spend too much on your first bike however, because you WILL drop or otherwise damage it.

If you look in the FAQ section, there is a few nice bits in there about choosing your first bike. (It might be in FAQ submissions).

Good luck, and welcome to the forum! Smile

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

I'm about 5'7 and have an NSR, only weigh about 9 stone as well Wink it's not that heavy really once you learn to balance the weight.

I am 17 and I am doing my cbt next week. My first bike is going to be an NSR125RR. I am 6' 2" and i rode it for the first time last week. I am going out on saturday as well on it (round a car park), it was fun for my first time last week. I found it quite easy to ride although I have no previous experience.

Also, it is useful to have an NSR on this site because loads of the members have had NSRs themselves, or still have them. I have got lots of help from them.
