Hi lads,
Im thinking about getting a set of these - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/250951022042?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

Anyone else dealt with these? Im just not 100% sure on there strength, when there fully extended theres only a tiny bolt holding the end on.

What are your views? anyone heard of any breaking?

I have a similar set from China, well worth the money IMO.

IIRC most of the folk that went to the BCF BBQ this year had them on their bikes too.

Never seen the extensible blade on them, though.

Worst case scenario? You lose £35. Give them a go.

I have them.

Don't get them.

Terrible quality, the allen bolts round off pretty quick (very small 2mm) and the levers fold up if you ever need to emergency stop (i.e today)

You'll join the naked crew Thumbs Down
Clutch lever has since been changed, brake lever remains that death trap...

The gaffer/insulation tape is to prevent wires getting damaged while I sort the fairings out. Its not bad at all really Laughing

I've got Chinese levers and so has my Dad, the quality was amazing for the price, absolutely no complaints at all. Maybe there are some different ones but the one's I got are great Thumbs Up .

Slide out extenders and fold up?

Mine fit perfect, just when I grabbed them to slow down, they folded up Rolling Eyes Done up as tight as possible also.

Nope, solid ones. Can't see how being extendible/folding could ever be a good thing in terms of strength, even on expensive ones.

OK, lets think about this...
Have you passed pubity?
Have you had to buy new shoes in the last six months because you are still growing?
Do you have some strange disorder that sees your hands change shape periodically?

If not what POSSIBLE reason would you want all that 'adjustability' for?

I have an adjustable seat in my car. Slides backwards and forwards, tilts, headrest goes up and down; even has sides that you can tighten around your ribs. I got in, adjusted it to where it was comfy.

Since then I have had to slide the seat back ONCE, when Snowie shifted it off the drive so she could get her bike out.

You will get them, adjust them, and that will be it.

They look high-tech, but lets face it... unless you have a particularly peculiar fist, be it big or small, or whatever, you aren't really going to get much benefit from all that adjustability...

A non adjustable fixed lever, would probably provide the right grip... So why make it more complicated than you need?

You ask Honda that question regarding the CB twins eh Wink

Reason I got them, fancied short ones, these came up at a decent price.

What was it you thought made them dangerous? The folding or the extendable bit?
Only reason i fancied the extendable ones, so i could try them short and if i didnt like it extend them to normal size.

They are VERY thin when extended...hence making them short Laughing

Dangers as they fold up, remarkably easy.
