zxr wont start on the starter

starters playing up its not the relay or battery as lights arnt dimming tried to take the starter of the bike but gave up as it started working half way thro messing with it personaly i think its the brushes any idears ????

If it started working halfway through fooking with it it may be a simple earthing issue.
If you can whip it off.
Clean all the connections.
Re-fit.
Test.

If whilst it is off you can have an auto-electrician test it for you it would be prudent.

You can test on the bike if you understand how to use an ammeter inline and if you know the specifications for the motor resistance and amperage on NORMAL load.

And Ice Age II is on Council Telly why are you faffing with the bike???
