Back firing what's the cause?

Only me again with a new problem lol...
Well this only started last week, as I pull away and change gear its fine but as soon as I take my hand of the throttle to pull in the clutch then pop pop bang?
As I'm not really sure what the cause is I hope its some thing simple so I ask the vast knowledgeable users of BCF if any one could give me some advice.

Unburnt fuel popping in the exhaust, perhaps caused my mixture being too rich.

I have a YBR i think I can adjust the fuel mixture with a screw by the carb?

Don't go adjusting your carb, they don't go out of adjustment in any signifcant way and you'll just cock it up.

Your most likely causes are a bit of water in the carb, a clogged idle jet or crap under the mixture screw, or a hole in your exhaust.

Funny you should say that because before the MOT last week it didn't do this but he did take off my exhaust and did some small welds at the manifold but he said he will pass it but it is still blowing.
Also with all the rain we've had there could be a possiblty that water may have got in there. Hmmmmmmmm
Still not sure though.
