Keep up the repair work. It’s looking good! Not long now and you will have a rare 'limited edition’

Have you thought of painting the wheels blue or black? I used to ride an NS and I had the wheels resprayed black. So much easier on the cleaning!
The NS was one of the the most fun bikes I ever rode |

How much did your exhaust cost? I was thinking of getting a shark exhaust for mine. They are oval shaped, but I have only seen them for sale on a German site and they haven’t replied to my email yet about shipping prices. |

i was thinking of just glassblowing them, and shine them up, i think that it cud be really cool, but a lot of cleaning |

You want to skim the head on a two stroke? I wouldn't if I were you. Two strokes do not depend on the same things as four stroke engines, and so to attempt to tune it as you would a four stroke engine would be looking for trouble IMO. If you *Really* want to do it then I suggest you ring the stan stephens helpline:

Or start an new thread because it might not get seen all the way down here! ____________________ British beauty: Triumph Street Triple R; Loony stroker: KR1S; Track fun: GSXR750 L1; Commuter Missile: GSX-S1000F

Hi
The NSR runs a 7:1 compression, so you might be able to raise that a bit, but it would probably need to run on high octane fuel afterwards. Before doing anything measure the squish around the edge of the head.
However, to be honest, given the costs of getting the work done by someone experienced, and the costs of getting it wrong I would be tempted to say take it to an experienced 2 stroke tuner.
All the best

Blimey!
Looks like plenty has happened. Never known so much devotion to a bike before.
Still, it's looking gorgeous, even better now than before it was stolen.
Hope you get her looking perfect, will be nice to see the end product! ____________________ Aprilia RSV Mille R Edwards Replica - Aprilia RS250 - Suzuki GSXR600 Supersport Race Bike |

I really envy you for having such imagination and perserverence. When anything goes slightly wrong when I'm doing jobs on my bike I get angry and give up.
What are you using to cover the wire matting? Looks like p40. Keep looking on ebay for the headligt if you still need one, I've seen them pop up a few times in the past couple of weeks. ____________________ RooRoo: just like the time i stuck my finger up my arse with no lube at all and she didnt talk to me for hours |

WOW! I like the new back end. Much better than before. But saying that, I saw how much work you put into it, and when I saw the damage when It was stolen you must of been gutted mate...
I wish I could spray good. Ive got a pannel on me scooter what I want matching and spraying, But its gona cost me £40, and I just dont have £40 spare any more, Ive had to borrow money to pay for the fucker to have a new top end and the old piston decided to eat my clinder away...
Cant wait to see the finished bike. Oh by the way, I like the speedfight mirrors
And them headlights are well nice!

Brilliant !
Love the front lights, much better then the standard ones.
Well done for not giving up
(BTW my old ns125r has been bought by my older brother who has completly resprayed it , gone from yellow to silver. He just has to put on a new exhaust and front forks on and then its back on the road ! I'll try and get some pic's of it when its all done, he even wants a go against my cbr125 when its finished ) ____________________ Ducati 916,white framed corse replica https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=239309
