Judging by the seat on the 'blade, I'd say you finally bought a bike to suit you.

Judging by your avatar (you know, the one where you're holding a hand-cannon) I'd say you were american, therefore have no idea of what handling actually is. Even your race car drivers have no idea. Just look at Nascar. They don't need 'handling' because they just drive around a huge oval.

If you think your 'Blade doesn't handle as well as your Harley, then you are just a stereotypical American. You obviously like your beer gassy and flavourless, your cars with cart springs and your roads straight.

Over here in Europe we have these things on our roads. They are called 'Corners' and in order to deal with them we require some design effort for motorcycle and car suspension. Hence why Europe has Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Porsche, Jaguar, Caterham, Ariel, Noble, Ducati, MV Augusta, Benelli, Triumph and BMW.

And the USA has General Motors and Harley Davidson. Laughing

Your trial by fire begins.

flounce/flouns/
Verb:
Go or move in an exaggeratedly impatient or angry manner: "he stood up in a fury and flounced out".
Trimmed with a flounce or flounces.
Noun:
An exaggerated action, typically intended to express one's annoyance or impatience.
A wide ornamental strip of material gathered and sewn to a piece of fabric; a frill.
Synonyms:
frill - furbelow - ruffle

But seeing as you've been here since 2006, I'd assume you were expecting the backlash. Wink

I for one don't care what anyone rides, your money, your bike etc.
Aslong as you enjoy it doesn't matter.

But that doesn't mean I agree with you. Wink

I prefer the look of the old sportster, apart from the wheels. What model is the new one?

its 2010 softail standard. the main reason i bought it my wife n i are going to travel around Australia and that just wasnt an option on a sports bike.
i would of kept the blade but room was next to nil with all my other stuff in the shed.

Yes you're right of course. I'm completely wrong.

Maybe I'll go out and buy an australian motorcycle... Oh. Wink

(Apologies if my previous post was taken the wrong way but I really hate Harley Davidson for what they did to Buell. The only decent American vehicle ever made).
