Hi guy my exhaust on my scooter has broke and I am wondering what I need to fix it. Dont want to buy a new one because I am doing my test soon.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Also wondering if I can take the exhaust of and get a silencer of some kind cause I think the scooter would look pretty good without the exhaust.

Here is a video of it

And here is a picture

a welder will fix that, bolt the zorst on the bike, remove the battery, spot weld evenly round the brake in the pipe, then remove the zorst and finish welding round it, then refit the battery and zorst and away you go

+1 with the redneck repair job Thumbs Up Wink

(However I might have advised using bathroom silicone sealant instead of the gun gum. Yes I know it sounds strange, but it really does work - and gives a slightly more flexible gas tight joint)

...and if you're anywhere near my neck of the woods I'd even be able to lend a hand, either with the DIY repair, or the welder...

my mates scooter did the same as that it was one of them chinese scooters most parts off a peugeot v-click fit

what i did was get some exhaust repair the one what is like tape, and you wrap it around the exhaust. but then bent a thin bit of metal around the exhaust then wraped the exhaust tape round it. then a hose clamp round each end...then sprayed it black..

the reason it broke there is becuse the bolt in the top mount had fallen out. so i just put another bolt in it

so try to find out why it broke in the first place aswell

Legally it needs to be silenced if the bike is constructed after 1983.

What scooter is it?

You need clean metal to weld. If that has rusted through, you're going to have cut back a long way until you find anything solid to weld to.
