Seems fine to me... Just get uesd to it a bit more on the r6 and you should be fine.

When I first tried on my zx9 after the zx6 I found it quite difficult; didn't really trust the tyres and the higher rearsets meant I had to lean and hang off more to get it to touch down.

I got it down a few times, not 100% sure if its down in that pic tho as my sliders are sparky and theres no sparks in the pic, really not sure didn't get many pics as it was too dark. Will get better ones some time. Just a pic there showing general hanging off etc to see if I'm leaning off too much /not enough etc.

I have never tryed on a big bike, but on the 'peds at work, theres nothing I love more than shooting round weybridge with my knee down. I tend to not actually sit on the seat at all, just have my arse next to it and crouch quite low. You can almost feel the ground under your knee as it gets there.

I tend to find you can feel the ground with your knee. Laughing

You wear knee sliders on your kit whilst delivering pizzas?

No, but the trousers have pads which work, not aswell but they work. I meant just before the knee touches the concrete you can feel it rushing past underneath you.

There's a lad that lives near me, that works at my local dominoes pizza place, and i've seen him wear full leathers with teardrop sliders on it, was funny when I caught him once, when turning round in the car at the back of his work scratching his sliders on a wall, whilst still on his leg Laughing

It's called ground effect.

Looks like you hang off more and you'll be able to lap the thing with it down. The only thing you have to worry about with not hanging off is Peg-down.

I always thought, getting your knee on the ground is just a by-product of excellent cornering, an you use it to judge the position of the bike in relation to the tarmac, rather than just an objective.

Good pic by the way though. Thumbs Up

OK, these two pics here you can see I was trying too much, it's realy quite bad actually, my arse is RIGHT off the seat but my head/shoulders etc is still parallel over the bike.

I think its cos with the ZXR, i didnt really hang off, I just leant over:

Think I'll just keep practicing and carry on getting used to the bike, me and a mate are going to set the suspension up to Performance Bikes guide and see if that makes a difference too.
