I'm currently rebuilding my Rotax122 after a big end replacement.
However, the new crank bearings are slightly different to the old ones...
The original ones were identical so it didn't matter which way they were put in. The new ones have the bearings only visible from one side (see pics).
I would assume that the 'blank' sides face the crank so the 'open' sides are facing the oil channels (if that's what they are) in the crank case.
Any thoughts ?

The 'blanking' is just a cover. It will come out with a bit of digging, just be careful not to mark the bearings

Pretty sure when Pete did my RS, the exposed side was inside the engine.
