Is it an art form?

So far, I look like a squatting pterodactyl when getting in and out of it. Also come to realise using my Knox 9-plate back protector is very impractical. Looking into getting an insert instead.

Any tips on this? Or is this the norm with the 1 piece? I don't mind, for the extra protection i'm happy spending 5 more minutes putting it on.

Also.. I promise not to post any more threads for awhile. Been going over-board recently. Laughing

Its pretty much normal. In my experience it takes a lot longer to take it off than put it on...

Pretty normal to be honest, there's a bit of a nack to it, but even then, pretty rare to see someone take one off without the torso twisting motion to flap the arms off!

Wearing under-layers helps enormously, I won't put mine on unless they're on because the thought of removing my sweaty carcass without that layer of insulation fills me with dread!

Say goodbye to your dignity! Sit down and put your legs in then shove both arms in and stand up slowly works for me. Then there is the lying down on the floor to get the zip up dance....

Find a technique that works for you. Graceful it isn't.

It's not easy but it gets much quicker with time, especially once the leather flexes a bit and you get used to it.

On occasion I think it can be quicker than getting a 2 piece on depending on how fiddly the zip-around on the 2 piece wants to be!

I went the shop the other day, on bike, in my slippers, if i bought a one peice, it would have to stay on and i'd look like that gimp of pulp fiction. Cool

Just don't even consider a 1 piece if you have the squits.... Also, if you need to take a dump do remember to take the whole thing off otherwise you will end up with said Richard cupped like a baby in your liner...

This!!! I've been out on long days out in a one piece and if you have a dodgy arse it's not fun trying to get in/out in a public lav to let your arse do an upload to the poo-net-brownway.

It's also a pain on a hot summers day when your mates want a wander around a town/city and your in your cooking suit getting a tad warm.

Easy.
You have to sorta bring your shoulders up to your neck and bring your shoulder blades close together, then flap your arms around like a penguin, and it should just fall off, hence the term penguin dance.

Then fold the back part of your suit down the back of your legs and sit down, so you're not sat in the suit, put the palm of your hands on the knee armour and push down with your feet pointed straight down like a ballet dancer.

Try doing it in a crowded open paddock on a hot day, many the maiden has blushed when they notice I am sans-pantalons.
