Go for as big as you can get. I've never once thought "I wish my top box was smaller" but have wished it was bigger a few times and it's a 48 litre.

Don't necessarily get hung up just on the capacity in litres. Shape is just as important.

I've got a 36l box that's not deep enough for a lid. My 45l box has space for 2 full face tho.

Wheelies are fun Wink.

I used to be against (any, but especially) big ugly top boxes - then my mum left one on a bike I leant her.
"First thing to come off" I thought, but stupidly left in on for a few days; then realised that actually it was really rather useful, however 'ugly' I felt it was!

Well I can fit thin waterproof overclothes, my boots and my textile pants (with armour still in) into my 37 litre. Alternatively, with some very careful folding I can actually fit my leather jacket in there, all armour still in place (although that's not an easy task). I'm tempted to upgrade to a 40 odd litre so i can try to squeeze my textile jacket in there. Always like being able to get off the bike and leave ALL gear in/chained to the bike, makes life much easier.

If you filter a lot (or do any tight filtering) then get the biggest capacity that doesn't exceed your bar or mirror width. If you don't filter that often and when you do there's plenty space, just get something LARGE (it won't cock your balance up unless you load it with lead weights lol)
