We can all dream, but If I won the lottery think this is the house I would get, or something like it detached and two garages.

https://www.baysoft-web.co.uk/bsImages/PropertyImages/175_208_261_11_WEB.JPG

URL to the house
https://www.247properties.co.uk/details.aspx?ID=Wu0tX7wIrIObl63J1DUJ6A%3D%3D

So what would your dream house be if you won the lottery Question

I'd get something that moves. Something that I could also store my bike in. And something that would be well cladded out with insulation - to keep me warm during the chilly months. Thumbs Up

There is a house just down the road from me thats on the market for half a million. Its a grade II listed building but one of those flint walled ones. Three bedrooms (I figured master, guest then entertainment room) with ensuites for each, double garage and an acre of land. Nearest neighbour is a good yell away!

My dream house Smile

I'm with Clangs here. It would be something mobile. Not a winibago type thing those 'Mericans love.

But a beast like a Kamaz 6x6 / 4x4 and I'd live in the back and load the bike in the back as well. Probably many years of being transient mean I don't like the idea of staying in any one place for any extended amount of time.

My friend's dream home is a boat.
https://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m174/howlingterror_2006/Image0029.jpg
Suits him perfectly, he doesn't own many possessions or even a car. I once saw a CBR600 strapped to the front of a canal boat but don't think that suits my needs.

Dream home? Haven't a clue. Somewhere in NZ maybe, but not for a long time. Quite happy where i am at the mo.

I'd look for a windmill that's either already been converted, or needs converting. If I couldn't find one in the area I wanted, I'd bribe a council official to grant me planning permission to build a replica 19century windmill style house.

Actually, thinking about it, if I had it built to spec, I could probably rig it up with some working sails and use them to turn a generator to power the house... That'll reduce the carbon feet prints!

Given the money I would prefer to live in a shed in the mediterrainian than buy an expensive house in this country.

Buy an island big enough to build race track on, build house in centre of track.

Get up, breakfast, race, lunch, race, arrange bcf bbq, sleep, repeat.

A large industrial unit, bed, bog and kitchen in one corner.
I would fill the rest with bikes and the worlds largest Scalextric set, FTW! Cool

I actually am not the sort of person that wants somewhere with swimming pools and 30 bedrooms, dont know what I would do with all that seems a waste. I would stay where I was, somewhere old with character. Make some improvements and tidy the place up with a nicer garden.

I like Swimming Very Happy so a pool is a must. And my own private one would be even better. No sweaty gimps who've just smashed the Gym then jump in the pool.

4 double sized bed rooms minimum and i do eventually want to have kids.

1 main 1 each for kids and then one would be soley used for my man room. Xbox etc and all my Turntables and a range of New and Vintage Synthesizers

Swimming pools are overrated!
The best swimming pool is your neighbours'!
With the amount of chemicals you need to put in one, someone elses sweat, in there, is the least of your worries!

When i was in the RAF i was at a camp near nottingham, RAF Newton
that has now closed,That's what i would buy,It had a wide track going round the airfield and me and a few mate used to lap after lap.
If it was one of those euromillions wins, 100+ millions the UK would have a new circuit.
plus i'd live in the commanding office old house, A real posh place.

I'd buy the house next to Marjay.

And then kidnap his cat. Smudge shall be mine.

Aside from that, something with a barn to convert into a decent garage with high enough roof to take a 2 post lift, and a field to turn into an airstrip. Lots of space for cats, but not too far from London.

I'd either build my own as Hetzer said (and it would be in a Scandinavian style place) or I'd want something a few hundred years old with detached garages (3 or 4 door, so plenty of room to store and work) with stables so the missus can have a horse. Probably somewhere in the cotswolds or south coast.

I wouldn't want anywhere massive, with swimming pools or cinema rooms or any of that crap to be honest.

Thumbs Up

I would look around big houses for sale, steal and good ideas and build my own.

Complete customness ftw.

Also massive warehouse for keeping "toys"

Also bunker with a few years supply of food, a source of fresh water etc. To protect from nuclear war / zombies.

If I got a proper Eurosquillions win, I'd build an estate of modest semis, gate it off, and personally vet every prospective purchaser. No mongs, spongers, pikeys, hard-dog types or bible/koran thumpers. Or fat chicks. Every house would get a Telegraph delivered daily.

Something like this for me and Mrs Pinky to live out our early retirement.
