Following on from the 'worst' insurers going from experience who are the better companies out there?

I'm currently riding a 2009 ZX6R and my insurance is due at the end of the month so looking forward to some good suggestions!

Benny Thumbs Up

I've been very impressed with Swinton, I've been with them for two years now. As with everyone else, their renewal price was inflated, but when I bought a new policy online and was asked for proof of no claims, they made no complaint about transferring it from my old policy to my new one when I rang them.

They were by far the cheapest for me too.

I haven't experienced their claims service though, that's the true test of an insurer, in my view!

Agreed, Swinton ripped the head off of everyone else and crapped down their throats. They don't demand to see copies of your license or other documentation either, unlike suspicious outfits like ebikeinsurance.

Im with swinton too for the 2nd year. There renewal was stupidly expensive but after i found the best deal online i rang them up and they matched it even tho it was £200 cheaper than the renewal they had offered.
They also have an office 6 miles from me so thats a bonus Thumbs Up

I'm with Rampdale at the moment (only insurer I've had), just renewed my policy for the 2nd year today.

Couldn't recommend them enough. Thumbs Up

When I went to insure my AY50 a year ago, they were by far the cheapest I could find. £168 TPO, whilst every other company was £200 and over.

When I bought the 125 just over a month ago, I had to change the insurance over which cost me £60 (good/bad?Thinking ).
Just annoying it was only a month before the end of the policy.
Asked for the insurance docs by e-mail and literally received them within 2 minutes.

They gave me a renewal quote for £239 (inc legal cover) which is reasonable, considering before the policy expired it would have cost £268, which i think was without legal cover.
Added commuting and breakdown cover for the renewal, and it came to £289.
I'm getting quotes from others, of way over £300 for TPO and that's with NO extras.
Carole Nash was something stupid like £500.

Every time I've called them, they've answered within a few minutes and they're always helpful and polite.

And from what I've read, they don't charge you admin fee's for informing them of attaining a full license, which is good to know. Mr. Green

Are we talking insurers (i.e underwriters) or brokers.

e.g. Chaucer is an underwriter, Bennets is broker

In terms of brokers Carole Nash - excellent customer service

Probably brokers mainly but any experience.

Tried a few quotes this afternoon and Swinton have come up the cheapest by far.

Will try a few more this evening as cheapest isnt always the best!

Although I have no brand loyalty, I'd have to go along with that. The underwriter is Norwich Union as far as I remember.
