Is there an easier way of getting a spare key for an Aprilia SX125 (2008 Model)?

100% lost the only key and spoke to local dealer where it was bought from a few years ago and they said you need a whole new ignition barrel.

Can't you just order a key from Aprilia?

Should be a code somewhere on the barrel.

Quote it to Aprillia and they should be able to match it up to a key.

Locksmiths can do it as well, (you may have to get a blank from aprillia first) which should be cheaper.

If you're worried about £40, be careful of losing car keys. A replacement chipped key typically costs around £200 and for some cars (Mercedes especially) a new key can cost over £600.

Talk to an autolock smith and get a quote.
Should be less if you get the barrel off and take it to them.
