Hi All

Another problem with the ZX9. When the bike is cold I am having a tough job shifting, particularly down on the gears.

The lever moves fine but it just doesnt seem to engage any gears correctly.

As the bike heats up the crisp gear changes suddenly reappear and it works great. I'm presuming the problem is along the lines of the heat freeing some part or the oil warming and lubricating.

She is due a major service at the moment, I was kinda hoping some fresh oil may help but i'm not so sure.

Any other ideas?

Fresh oil correct for the temperatures and it's worth cleaning out the, linkages anyway.

Thanks for the reply. Shes going for her major service next week. Whilst Googling I also noticed a post in another forum about lubricating the gear lever at the peg. I'll give that a bash along with the oil too Thumbs Up
