These people https://www.davidsilverspares.co.uk/MTX200RWD-1983/ still do spares.
You may well be able to order parts direct from a main Honda dealer like Fowlers of Bristol.I managed to buy some pretty obscure parts from Fowlers for my 1978 Honda CB125T2.
This site https://www.cmsnl.com/honda-mtx200rw-1983-england_model19510/partslist/ also show all of the part numbers which are relevant in the UK.
As far as I remember while reading a road test of this bike, there was no power restriction. But if you were to change the exhaust then you may well need to change the jetting as well. ____________________ Just talk bikes. What else is there?

Hi
I know it was done occasionally (I thought about doing it), but don't know anyone who did do it. Suspect the biggest problem would be getting an exhaust to work.
There are a few odd differences between the MBX and MTX. Think the charging system is a bit different, and for some strange reason one of the cooling pipes is metal on the MBX and rubber on the MTX.
Not many MBX125s around these days, and most of those that are now seem to be rather nice restored ones (I gave a few bits I still had floating around to a guy and his son who were restoring one).
All the best

Does anyone know if it is possible to use a piston from another motorcycle (like RD 350, RM 250,...)? Genuine MTX 200 pistons seem to be quite rare.
I'm looking for a 0.5 OS piston (67.5mm). |
If you can't get hold of an MTX 200 pistons now, you may be able to use a Wiseco piston. A Wiseco .060 Yamaha Blaster piston is 67.5mm.
Its a last resort as the compression height will likely be different, so will probably need additional machining to work correctly. I've got a .040 Blaster piston for a KMX 200 which i'm rebuilding. ____________________ 1988 Kawasaki KMX 200

Going to the Honda dealer would be my last option as the delivery time is quite long.
There are about 5 different types of clutch springs on the Internet (RWD and RWF):
EBC:
CSK004
CSK009
CSK106
TRW/Lucas:
MEF109-6
MEF104-4
