For Christmas this year my girlfriend bought me a model internal combustion engine made by Haynes.

Well tonight I found some spare time and managed to get round to doing it.

Was at it for hours and just when you think it is complete there is another wee bit and another wee bit more to do.

Excellent gift idea for someone interested in cars and bikes.

It has moving parts, sounds, lights (for the spark) and is really very detailed. They could easily have cut some corners but this is a very high quality product - the finish on the plastics are amazing and I cannot stress how good the value for money was. (although I think she got it for half price from Hobbycraft).

The instructions also tell you about the workings of an engine if you dont already know about it.

The illustrations are very high quality and instructions very easy to follow - all parts are clearly numbered.


The only nagative part of this item is that I have 3 screws left over once the model was complete Embarassed and I have no idea where they came from and where they are supposed to go!!! Crying or Very sad

Dont think so. I have searched online but all the other videos I have seen, they only last a few seconds too - a shame really since it only fires on 3 cylinders by the time the sequence is finished.
