Oxford Stormex, I always say that if I was stuck outside in the middle of winter, I'd take this cover off the bike and put it around me, it's actually warm just to put your hand in.

Had mine for 2 years, still like brand new and good safety features too.

I use an oxford Rainex cover for the fireblade. Nothing's as good as a garage.

But keep the thing covered and velcroed on and it'll do a good job. It's fabric lined on the inside and seems to keep much of the rain off. You can fully wrap it around the underside of your wheels and belly pan so it's pretty much 90% coverage when all things are considered.

You can find it online for £35

RG covers are very similar!

They have a nifty lock pocket for keeping your padlock from your chain off the ground, and eyelets front and back to thread your chain through - not sure if they're big enough for 19mm jobbies mind, but an AlmaxIII ought to be fine.

Have to say Motrax covers are brilliant, I've been more impressed with it withstanding the god awful wind we've had recently. It flapped around and set off my alarm but was still there in the morning in the same place! Very Happy

How much room do you have, if you have a small amount you could look at one of these?

https://www.secure-a-bike.com/

I had one a few years back for my Superduke where space was limited.

New ones are pricey but you could pick one up on Flebay or something; I sold my one for £400.

My motorbike cover just recently got stolen so I have ordered a Oxford Rainex... I was going to go for the Stormex but they're so expensive. Laughing

can vouch for 'Stormex' but if you are going to go the 'Rainex' route you might want to consider one of these :- https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290621477867?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

From my use, these covers perform as well as a 'Rainex' at less than half the price (and it's an XL size). I have no link with the company just happen to need to cover a few bikes outside right now.

Good choice - buying one of those is like an investment whereas the Rainex deteriorates pretty quickly tbh.

Still have my original Stormex, must be 7 or 8 years old now. Faded and not as waterproof as it used to be. I use a can of cheap silicone spray and use it on the cover, especially along the stitching.
The bellystrap is far too long, tie a knot or two in it.

My tips..Dry the cover at every opportunity, they're big and even on my sportstourer the hem touches the ground.
Covering up a hot and wet motorcycle isn't ideal but sometimes you have to.....give the bike a spray of wd40 (minus the obvious parts)

Use your noggin regarding gales. I've seen a couple of bike covers on their side.

Went don't the cheapo cover route before £5 cover however ended up with this Oxford Aquatex; not the rainex or stormex although it has been extremely good fully waterproof.

These guys aren't cheap, but they are custom made for your bike, a mate has one for his S2000, very thick, very well made, hugs the car so it doesn't flap around scratching the paint, pricey but good

I use this cover:

https://www.jsaccessories.co.uk/brands/doctor-bike/doctor-bike-dual-layer-waterproof-cover-l.html

Has the advantages of being soft on the inside so it doesn't scratch, and it has two reinforced holes (front and rear) to put a chain through.

I used to use a tesco £14 one. it worked well and was small enough to pop under my seat.

It got lost/stolen a few weeks ago, so replaced it with the Oxford aquatex because I needed a cover that would be small enough to fold up and store under the seat.
