Is how i'm feeling right now.

Everything is fine, i get by on what i earn, have a motorbike, home, with alot of prospects this year, but everyday i think about my mortality, how i will come to die one day and am i living this moment how i want to be?

Been through alot of shit regarding most aspects of my life but im always trying to keep my head high for my own well being. Whats the point in living with worry/depression when it could be your last day?

I am learning another language (4 months in and feel like im doing well), and my fitness is at a level i have always wanted to be at. I just am missing that final link of being happy in what i am doing. Anyone else know the feeling? Will i actually ever get it. Hope so.

These simple words may help.

Be exactly who you want to be, do what you want to do
I am he and she is she but you're the only you

No one else has got your eyes, can see the things you see
It's up to you to change your life and my life's up to me

The problems that you suffer from are problems that you make
The shit we have to climb through is the shit we choose to take

If you don't like the life you live, change it now it's yours
Nothing has effects if you don't recognise the cause

If the programme's not the one you want, get up, turn off the set
It's only you that can decide what life you're gonna get

If you don't like religion you can be the antichrist
If your tired of politics you can be an anarchist

God Bless Crass.

Find out what your values* are, then pick some goals that feed those values.

I find it best not to over-think it (life that is). Thumbs Up

Sounds like life is good, so you're bored. I get the same thing. Then something fucks up, you spend a few years getting it fixed, then life is good again, so you get bored.

I don't have a solution. Looking forward to the boredom again though.

I think it is also described as craving instability.

Hi

I think that you will only find the element that you think is missing if it is an external entity.

If it's not then you would probably benefit from reviewing your own sense of well being and/or explore your insecurities.

I find that I only truly see the best bits of life when looking back and seeing how good they actually were, despite not feeling that good at the time.

I now view life as an iterative process, makes it easier to accept things as they are not as I am.

All the best
Mike

During my 50+ plus years I've noticed that my extremely few "worry-free" moments quickly turn to boredom/self analysis. Bloody annoying Smile

It won't last forever, before you know it you'll be running around after screaming mini versions of yourself with no money bike or free time and you'l look back thinking, shit. those were the days, wish I made the most of em.

Stop thinking and do everything you get away with on a single/young & free lifestyle, moar women/moar booze/moar bikes & stupidity, work hard and play harder cause one day you'l miss it!

Distraction for the sake of distraction. This is how you 'enjoy' life.

To a fashion.

Ack, it's all a puerile distraction. Bikes, girlfriends, kids, jobs.

But, what's the alternative?

Anyway, life doesn't fix itself after you have a few things you can brag about doing, or after you've done a few cool things. Yeh perhaps you can knock those off the 'panacea list'... life will be good after I've climbed everest/swam with dolphins/punched a whale.

If anything it just shows you how little changes, and you can start craving the adventures less.

If you feel that strongly about it, leave your company on good terms and go take a year out. Work as a divemaster, teacher, miner, fruit picker, ski instructor. Whatever.

You may love it, you may hate it. But it gives you a change, and something to look back on when older.
