Bath, water and baby shampoo.
Thats what I've been told before to use on none removable linings.
Make sure that it is well dry before wearing it again though, so it will need a couple of days in a well ventilated place to dry off.
Hope that helps chaps. ____________________ The BCF's very own Party boy! Though he's getting old and feeling it!

Yeah but that type of product only makes the muck smell nice, doesn't actually remove it. ____________________ The BCF's very own Party boy! Though he's getting old and feeling it!

I washed my textile jacket before following the instructions perfectly though it can't go in the tumble drier.
It took a few days and then it reeked of that damp smell afterwards - making me smell too!
I won't be doing that one again!
I'd be worried about the same thing happening to a helmet if it'll take a few days to dry.

Don't compare the two. Soap reacts with the cordura and the waterproof membrane which is why the damp smell tends to "Cling" Different materials are used in a helmet, and it will smell but only of shampoo which is not unpleasant. ____________________ It is better to arrive 30 seconds late in this world, than 30 years early in the next |

Makes sense to me! Though surely the jacket shouldn't have started stinking in the first place?
Not too long after it had a fault and was replaced and I forgot to ask. ____________________ Shaft drives rule. |

So, do i just wet the inside and scrub it. Or do i submerge the helmet in water and wash it like that? |
