Need to replace the exhaust to head gasket on my FZ750. Two options, an alloy fibre type or brass.

Both are the same price. Which is recommended ?

This came up in another thread recently - the general wisdom was to use the copper type as the fibre degrades over time leading to a blowing exhaust.

I've always used the copper type and never had a problem.

I used the fibre type on the GPZ some years ago, but ended up replacing them within about 2 years.... (and I even still have a spare set if anyone was interested) Wink

I've since got the metal/alloy ones on the Bandit and had no need to replace so far
