Why is it, that sometimes when you add attachment (jpg) you get to see the image, and othertimes, as above, you have to click to download it ?!?!?

Confused

That's the new ER6F isn't it?

Lets hope they're screwing them together a bit better this time. They had a recipe for a great SV rivalling bike, and fluffed it by using really cheap components in places.

Mmm, I love the idea of the ER6, but there's been too many bad reports of bent mounts, cracking exhausts and excessive vibration. It's also £1300 - £1600 more than the SV at the moment, it's hard to justify that difference given the issues.

You can be cheeky, right click on Download and do 'Copy link location', then put that in img tags:

I think it's pixels and maybe size in kb too?

I think screen is too low. It won't protect your neck from wind pressure.

Excuse my ignorance, but what makes it a 'Ninja' ? I thought that moniker was reserved for Kawasaki's fast bikes rather than the ER series..?
It's a lovely looking bike though.

The ER6-f has always been named as a Ninja in the USA. Makes me wonder whether that pic is US sourced or whether they're bringing it to the UK models too.

Ah ok, makes sense now then. I've been looking at the 2012 ER6F and haven't seen the Ninja sticker on it before.

Americans buy into silly marketing names like "ninja". As much as I like kawasaki, I can't stand it when anyone refers to their bike as a "ninja". That doesn't tell anyone what bike it is.

I'm talking about people you've just met who tell you they have a bike and you ask what bike they have. Ninja to me means "I don't have a clue".

I took an ER-6 for a test ride.

Wasn't suitably impressed.

Great beginner bike however

Way to devalue a brand by slapping it on a budget commuter in a pretty frock. Next up, a Fiesta Diesel Cosworth?

To be fair, I haven't seen OE Ninja decals on a UK Kawasaki for at least 10 years.

Side mount shock Thumbs Down , I saw it on the MT 6 and dosododo and that alone turned me straight off both those bikes. It just looks a bit odd to me.

I presume it makes adjustments/service easier? are there other benefits? or is it all style orientated?

Damn, you've got me wondering if they were OE on the B1H I owned. Laughing

The last bike I could remember then on was the seat unit of the J model ZX6R. Thinking

EDIT- Seems it was on the B1h I owned. Having a senoir moment.

I like the idea, much easier to keep clean, especially on a year-round commuter used on our rock-salt-and-loose-chippings roads.

Side shock means more underseat storage area. Trouble is, its not a rising rate linkage so is less sophistacated than a center mounted shock. Not really important on a commuter focused machine.
