As some of you may know my bike was stolen a week ago tomorrow, I know now that it is highly doubtful I will get it back, and if it does re-appear I highly doubt it will be in any useable condition. Police and insurance were immediately informed. I have now had a week without transport which makes day to day life extremely difficult. How long does it take before the Insurance will decide its well and truely gone and cough up? I was foolishly only insured Third party fire and theft instead of FC. Can I get them to speed up the process any way? Thanks

Being comprehensive would have made little or no odds on 99% of policies out there in your circumstances.

Generally speaking it's ~5 weeks from theft to payout being agreed.
