Tail light from another bike

Hi all, been looking at getting a different tail light as the original on my thundercat is outdated. Integrated indicators are illegal but will i be fine if i keep my actual seperate indicators on or do i need to disconnect the inbuilt indicators and use the standard seperate ones?
Also, will i need to modify anything else, any of the electrics of is it just a straight swap assuming I can make the bracket fit.

You'd probably have to plug the indicator wiring into it, so theoretically if you keep your normal indicators as they are, the indicators in the light you want won't be wired up so they won't work - no connection, Just wire up the tail light and it should just be a tail light, and brake light of course.
