Hi im new to the forum and only had my bike about 2yrs and planning my first trip , To start with didnt want to go to far so decided to choose Scotland up the east coast alond the top stoppin at thurso back down the west coast pulling in at Ullapool and maybe a trip over to applecross and isle of skye, I have read a few threads on here as to which bike is best for comfort terrain ect, I have a cbr 600f which i find comfy although never travelled long distances on it, Will i come back with back ache or does it just boil down to the individual rider all feedback appreciated,

There's nothing wrong with the CBR. Its a good bike and if you're comfortable on it then touring on it won't be a problem. If it's your first big trip just stop occasionally and stretch the legs.

As its Scotland, take in the scenery and enjoy. The roads are brilliant and empty, just don't push the fuel too much as petrol stations can be sparse at times.

The cbr will be fine, one thing to bare in mind is north of inverness petrol stations close on a Sunday as is best to plan your fuel stops. I'm up in Ullapool and had cbr 600 fy for a while comfy and fun. Tyres, you will be supprised hire quick the roads up here will chew your tyres and not many places north of inverness strock them.
