I got up this morning to find petrol on the floor and on my bike cover. It was -3/-4 degrease.
The bike started fine and runs fine. At college i looked at my bike at lunch time and there was fuel dripping from the bottom of the carb the right side was dry. Where the fuel line goes to into the carb you can see the petrol. Its does pour out it just slightly drips. The bike was fine on the weekend. I went out Saturday and Sunday on it.
What happened had the the pipe split or something.

Could be a couple of things. It could just be that the fuel line has split in which case you need to replace it as its likely to continue to perish.

Whats more likely is that the carb float(s) have become stuck and the petrol is coming out of the carb overflow.

It could of course be something else like a leaking float bowl gasket but I've never had one "go" so I doubt its that.

If you suspect its the fuel line then change the fuel line. If the leak persists then you need to investigate the other options.

thx no more leaks it was 2 reasons why it was leaking. One the fuel pipe had a couple of splits in it also the metal clips were old and not holding properly to the copper tube on the carb. I put new fuel pipe on and used cable ties instead. Mechanic recommended it.

Under what section of the MOT test does it specify that hoses have to be held on by pipe clips? Confused

Took most of my pipe clips off as they just rust and get in the way, funnily enough I've never had any leaky carb issues either? Confused

Doesn't seem all that far fetched to me. "Fit for purpose" and all that jazz.
