Is this an extreme case of a sporty looking bike that has diametrically opposed small amounts of power and low top speed?

And, is "Bangbang" an unfortunate name for a company that makes motorcycles?

It doesn't look like a scooter, although "scooter" is littered all over the description. I thought it was a mis-use of the word "scooter". What is the definition of a "scooter"?

It's basically a Gilera DNA copy, but not quite as good, from what I see.

Its a sack of shit. I can't stand why so many companys make such small capacity bikes look like big beefy sports bikes. My main hatrid atm is Aprillia with there new 125. I absolutly love RSV1000 until the 125 came out.

I think the accepted definition is where the engine is mounted.

A scooter typically happens to have the engine mounted on the swinging arm.

While motorbikes tend to have the motorbike in the frame somewhere.

Which is a bit iffy tbh,.

Since the T-80 townmate and a Honda C90, both which have their engines low down in the frame and not mounted on the swinging arm are 'motorbikes' even though they look like scooters.

While Gilera DNA things look like motorbikes but have the engine mostly on the swinging arm and thus are scooters.

Sort of.... Confused

One day Honda in a fit of madness will probably stick the engine onto the swinging arm of the fireblade.....

I'm interpreting your "not quite as good" as being a considerable understatement.

This one, in my opinion, looks very nice. I like the colour scheme too. But this 250 has less horsepower than an unrestricted Aprilia RS125. Hence I think that while the Aprilla may be a bit ridiculous in the contrast between appearance and actual performance, the Alibaba bikes are in a whole new ballpark of hyperbolic design. https://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/50117064/250cc_motorcycle.html

@fatpies - thanks.

Both have gears, why typically a scooter wouldn't (note - typically).
I believe they are classed as 'underbones' rather than a scooter or motorbike, to differentiate them.

The DNA won't get to a massive amount more than 50 and probably weighs in the same ball park.

On the RS125 - the old rs125 always looked like it's bigger brother too, though the 250 in that case.
I don't have any problem with them looking similar providing the scale also represents the size - it's bikes like the GTR125 which don't weigh that far off my GSXR1000 which seem rather silly to me!
