I have learned about the Ridgeway to be good for trail riding and have looked it up on Wikipedia. It looks great.

Is it possible to drive on the Ridgeway with a dual sport motorbike, legally? The whole track, or only parts of it?

I've read, what Wikipedia says about it, but I didn't understand the meaning, sorry.

I think it's a bit of a mixture, some you can some you can't. I rode this bit in September the day before it closed for the winter.

Some bits you can ride all year, some bits only at certain points of the year and some bits not at all.

England's not that amazing for trail riding. There's some decent lengths of trails in Wales, which you mentioned heading I believe. However for UK general, they're often pretty fractured.
