what is a digital portrait picture

Starting a new job soon and they have asked for a digital portrait picture to keep on record but ive never even heard of the term for a picture any one else know. I first thought passport type pic but i dont believe thats digital ?

Basically they want a passport photo of yourself but they do not want it printed they want it on file ie digital format, like photos your keep on your PC. Do you have any photos of yourself fairly recently that look at you head on? If you do send me a PM and i will crop it for you if your not sure how.

Get a photograph taken of yourself on your phone camera or normal digital camera. Then download that to your laptop and save the image as a .jpg file. That is then known as a digital image.

This image could then be uploaded to an email, and sent to the employer. Or failing that, take your camera into work and ask them to download it for you.
