i guess i should post this in the photo's section, but im not gonna so Razz

just thought id share some moments from my six weeks away

started off doing some exercises just off the coast of Plymouth before we sailed up to Norway. We went alongside in Tromso, which is right on the top edge of Norway, we arrived there about a week after we sailed.

desolate place, step off the gangway and dissappear into 4 foot of snow, it was about -20 there, not fun standing there passing bags of rubbish along a line for 2 hours, didnt go out much, there wasnt a whole lot to do, big ski resort up there, but pricey so didnt bother, and counting the number of broken legs, its probly for the best Razz

after that we were at sea for a solid month taking part in Exercise Joint Winter helping the marines go play in the snow, great fun Rolling Eyes

surrounded by views like this for a week can be quite impressive though

finally, happy that the marines are in fact wimps and need to come onboard to dry off when they have had enough, we finished the exercise, and headed into Copenhagen for 4 days, and there was much drinking and merryment, and Goose was happy, on the 4th day he rested and took a hungover stroll

coming home was definately the best bit, sunny day, and seemed to hot i was actually sweating just standing there, Portsmouth never looked so good, loads of people were packed out on the quays all waving us back in, best feeling in the world Very Happy
