Just spent the last month putting this together. Bought a 'box of bits' project off the 'bay, turned out that the box didn't contain the 'complete bike' that I thought I was buying.
Thanks to Shaft and his rather crashed RD in the shed, I had all the missing bits. Couldn't have done it without your help so a big thank you!

Plenty of issues to sort out during the process, but its turned out rather nicely. MOT on Wednesday, then I can really see what I've got.

Cheers

Thanks Blue. I did think the kickstart was a bit unweildy. Just had a look through them on the 'Bay and now I see what you mean. Ordered the right one so that should work a lot better.

Cheers

The pleasure is all mine, I've no idea which bits came from my bike, but one thing I do know, it looks a damn sight better sitting there, than it does gathering dust in my garage Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

PS, since mine was an F, doesn't it have the smaller kick lever?

Kickstart is wrong, an E or F model should have the short angled lever. Yours is off a C or D. Wink

Hi Shaft. Dug through the big pile of bits I have and, sure enough, there was your kickstart. A bit cosmetically challanged, but some fine wet n dry and half an hour with the Solvol and it looks a treat, (could have saved myself a tenner). So thats another part of yours that lives again.
It has 90% of your engine internals, engine mounts and bolts, all your electrical system, your swingarm and chain gaurd and rear light unit, so quite a bit of yours has contributed. Next job is to get the pile of spare bits on EBay and see what they are worth, (havn't forgotton our arrangement).
Long journey down to you, but well worth it in the end.

Cheers

Hi jj, I'm glad you thought it was worth it, it certainly looks it from where I'm sitting.

I'm amazed, but pleased, you used so much, especially the engine parts; that was a very strong motor, so I hope it does a good job for you and it's next lucky owner!

Thumbs Up
