First time for everything...

Well, today was the first time I properly got the shits with riding this winter.

Drizzley rain, diluted grit/salt from when the council dumped half a tonne on the roads because there was rumour it might get down below 4 degrees, and general road 5h1t all washing around the road from yesterday utterly pi$$ing down all day, and being blinded by car headlights all the time.

Honestly couldn't see 5h1t for most of the way in. Not only was I needing to wipe the visor every few minutes, but because the air was so damp, even the inside was misting up slightly (despite the visor being cracked open slightly, as I always have it).

Couple that with slippery roads and morning traffic (with the compulsory impatient mofo's that dont' actually consider what might happen if you slipped or worse, fell off when they're sat 2 inches from the back of the bike) and I was about ready to bail to the nearest Costa.

I actaully prefer riding in rain...big lumps of rain...monsoon style, proper rain, not this half-arsed, blowing around in the wind rain that just fcuking sticks to the visor.

Fucked me right off. Knew I should have driven in today.
