Caberg anti fog thinger

Just doing some stuff on my lid, cleaning etc, and thought I would maybe get a new visor, Caberg/shops want £40 near as dammit for a new visor.

However on closer inspection I have found most the scratches is on the stick on antifog doofer, which is £22 to replace, cheaper than pinlock and requires no drilling, but has anyone had a Caberg lid, with one of these thingers in it, and then removed and replaced it, just concerned over residue that may be left over after removal.
