Ever ridden a bike that changed your perception of fun in just a few metres?

Today a mate of mine came oven on a KTM300 and I had a go. I have never ridden a modern dirt bike before, and it really blew my mind. Like a very tall pushbike with big, soft suspension and a power delivery like Miranda Hart on the up-thrust... Made my trouser-piglet all hard and I want to do it again badly.

Anybody else ridden something completely different and felt the same?

When I test rode the Ducati 1098s.

I had only ever ridden IL4's on the road and wasnt too sure what to expect, what with the slating V-Twins and duc's in general get on here I was fairly skeptical.

I also got a semi and bought it Very Happy

When I was an impoverished student at Navy College I was stuck on a Honda CB125 for the duration. But a friend bought a Suzuki T500 Cobra and offered the bike to me for a go.I had ridden a few bikes up to that point but this bike blew me with the sudden acceleration and power delivery.

I later rode an early GT750 kettle with a drum brake which also made me gasp with the fun of the power.A go on a Kwack 750 H2 also made me wonder if there was anything that could surpass this urge for speed. It was just a shame that none of these big bore two-strokes handled very well compared to a Dresda Honda 750 bored out to 900 that I had a ride on,which set me on the road to IL4s in the future.
