What paint for a shower wall?
What extra needs to be done?
What about a plywood wall?

Situation:
This isn't for me - I'd just use the tiles that are left around and got for the purpose if it was my place. Also look at doing something about replacing the plywood probably.

Anyway, the bathroom/shower was wall papered above the tiles, but it was slowly coming off at the bottom as presumably the tiles were intended for the bath alone.

There's a layer of pretty tough paper that isn't being taken off one wall, but the paper is missing at a bit of the bottom. The rest of the other layers of paper have come off.

Current plan is to paint it, it seems.
The wall at the end seems to be plywood. The other is plaster with layer of paper.

Hi, ideally i would say strip the paper off if theres a shower in the room, but if it needs to be left use either specialist bathroom/kitchen paint or this https://www.diy.com/nav/decor/paint/interior-paint/emulsions/-specificproducttype-neutral/Dulux-Trade-Diamond-Quick-Drying-Eggshell-Paint-Magnolia-5L-9252941

Normal emulsion will shrink and crack from the steam.

Plywood will need priming with a decent wood primer at least and then painting with the same stuff, could maybe use a clear sealer first although i'm not sure if plywood is porous enough to make it worthwhile.

Are the walls going to geting hit with water or is it just walls in a shower room?
If its just walls in the room walls then masonary paint, otherwise any oil based finish ie: gloss, satinwood/eggshell.

Cheers for the thoughts.

It's basically the two walls which the shower hits - the rest are being ignored, but these are suffering.
