As the weather is improving, I am thinking more and more about weekends away. I am thinking that I might go for a little ride into France at the end of next month.

Where have you guys been that you really enjoyed (preferably not cities...) within a half day ride of the tunnel?

Cheers

A few years ago I visited this place and managed to arrive in time for a guided tour down into the tunnels.

Awesome Shocked

There is plenty to see off the bike a few hours from Calais. As aforementioned, the historic battle sites are numerous.

Roads that you'd want to ride just for the sake of riding them? No, too busy and too straight/boring. You have to get quite far from Calais to find the nice roads (unless I've missed some gems on my travels, which is possible I guess)
