Walkers and hikers wear them lots, what's the point on a bike, they wouldn't protect you from impact or abrasion, and if you wear shin height boots you don't need them for waterproofing, plus they'd be harder to get on/off.

I do actually wear walking gaiters to bridge the gap between my boots and my trousers...because I haven't managed to find any textiles that fit me properly...the gaiters keep my shins warm. Thumbs Up
