Just bought a very clean 96 Sprint. I absolutly love it! My question to anybody that may know is: when the bike decelerates I get a bit of crackle and pop small backfires. In a way they sound almost like they are supposed to be there.
Besides that great grrrrrowl, is this normal?
Thanks for any first hand experience.
Mike

It happens when you fit an aftermarket exhaust. Some bikes probably do it with stock cans too.
It's perfectly fine and I think it makes the bike sound better Very Happy

Hi

Not unusual, but check for air leaks in the system. Might be worth replacing the exhaust gaskets.

All the best

Keith
