Excuse all the dumbass threads lately , just making sure Smile

Been looking at the amd fx4100 cpu anyway and found this on egay

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Venus-Red-Case-450w-PSU-AMD-Bulldozer-FX-4100-3-6Ghz-Gigabyte-Motherboard-Bundle-/170770943298?pt=UK_Motherboards_CPUs&hash=item27c2bdcd42

Good start for a build? If i get that ill get 2, 4gb sticks of crossair vengance ram , dont know what graphics or hdd to get though.

Aye its not too bad for a "buy it and use it for the next 3yrs"
BUT, and I am being a twat:-

No sata 3 - If you plan on getting a SSD you'll want this.
No USB 3 - Becoming more common
Max 8GB ram - I'm sitting here with 12GB but have never used it all lol!
There are only 2 ram slots, upgrading the RAM can be costly as you will be replacing the existing sticks and not just adding in more.
No Dual GFX card support (not that you are gonna need it)
The case isnt to my taste, looks like a chavs tricked out fiesta innit blud Laughing
I'm not seeing a CPU cooler in that lot.

That mobo does have onboard video, which is a bonus cos you dont plan on getting a high-spec gfx card just yet.
Note:- part of your ram will be used as GFX memory, and it might not be that good.

Its a tough time for pc builders atm. HDD prices are a total ballache.
