Been a while since I bought a second hand bike, so want to do one of the online checks. What's the consensus on the best check available?

Cheers

Just do any text checker. They ALL get their information from the same database.
Happy buying!

Not technically correct.

You can do any checker and they will all tell you if the vehicle is stolen etc but ONLY experian have access to see if there are any finance on the vehicle.

I recently did a 5 thing from experian for I think £24.99 which is good if you are looking at buying a bike, as if its no good you can use the other 4 etc. A one off is 19.99 from memory.

I used car text check to sell my car recently and there was a finance check on that... Besides I was under the impression that all this info is on the DVLA and police database anyway?

You sure?

Maybe that was a text check via experian I don't know.

But yea, when I tried it said only experian have access to the financial database.

DVLA and Police have nothing to do with that side of it.

Access to what? HPI and Experian both run their own databases, there's no magic single repository of truth.

They both gouge pretty much the same though, so I'm not necessarily recommending HPI.
