Can you believe my luck - riding for almost 2 years and never once did I come off the bike...

...Until 12 hours before my Mod 2!

Black ice while coming round the corner decided to make my bike travel in a more horizontal position

No real damage at all really as I was going slow anyway - I did however snap the tip of my break lever off (you know that little ball end bit) and bend my rear break pedal - Now this is working fine , but in a position that I'm not used to and I'm a little worried that I will unintentionally be turning the break light on during my test tomorrow.

Also glad I wear gear - I know it was only a little spill but my palm and elbow would be killing right now!


Also related, my friend who also rides had his first off today as well - though he didn't fair as well as me, both bike and him got a bit of damage, though both easily fixable

Ride safely mate, ice and bikes don't mix. I did something similar the week before Christmas.

Today I looked at the road twinkling when I got up, I took the car.

Hope your bike test doesn't get cancelled, but if it is too dangerous it might be best to wait.

I fell off my bike a hour before my Mod 1 - knackered it and had to forfeit. When I re-took it a few months later, I came off on my way back from the Mod 1.
