Hey peeps, just rode home my K4 GSXR 600,

although its gonna stay wrapped up for a few months, i would like to get it to a garage to get it serviced and all the fluids checked etc,

anyone know of a reputable garage/person in the Chippenham/wiltshire area, i just want an honest genuine mechanic working on my bike, so i dont have to worry when im on it and have peace of mind

dont get me wrong im a have a go guy, but i live in flats and in this weather would rather pay for this to be done

Nice bike mate, what colour?

The K4 is really easy to work on, shame you don't have somewhere to do it.

If you're not gonna ride it for a few months, would it not be better to get it serviced just before riding it rather than now.

Obviously just check its got antifreeze in the coolant

yeh that might be abit late to do,! didnt get home with it till late last night!! so i'll soon know if its got antifreeze or not,

bit miffed, should of checked it when i got there to buy it, wasnt the best day to buy a bike!! but its done now so cant do much about it!!

true i could wait. but having discovered after looking thru the service book that its last service was at 566 miles!!!!!!!!! now done 8400! im guessing its probably had one or two oil changes since then!! Embarassed but think it needs to go in and get a full service and check etc,

the bike is mint almost as new, and rides nice(rode 144 miles home), started on the button from cold, so i got no reason to beleive its not been properly maintained but then i dont want to take the cnance it hasnt!![/img]

It probably got the first service at a dealer, then home serviced...its pricey otherwise.

If it hasn't the basic oil/filter/plugs/air filter and coolant should be fine. Your valves are at 14-16,000 miles. Ages to go.
