A fare dodger who refused to leave a ScotRail train when requested to do so by the elderly ticket inspector didn't expect having to deal with ''The Big Man'' :-

I wouldn't celebrate this natural justice just yet, my bet is the Polis will be involved very soon.

I did the same thing years ago on the train to Portsmouth when I was a student there. I'd gone home for the weekend and went out on the piss, got a phone call at about 10pm from one of my housemates saying that they were sat in darkness with no power - I'd gone home with the leccy key that I'd topped up earlier in the day.

I had to get the train back to Portmouth when we stopped halfway because some little scrote didn't have a ticket and the conductor couldn't get him off the train. Just did what that bloke did and helped him off.

The best bit was that I didn't have a ticket either but the conductor just thanked me for my help and never asked to check. Result! Laughing

This was debated on Radio 2 this lunchtime. I had no sympathy for the bloke until his dad rang in, explaining that he was a jolly decent sort and that he had bought the right ticket - apparently he couldn't find it when asked.

If that is true then the bloke that physically threw him off the train is a big bully who like all bullies deserves to be rogered with a frying pan handle. If it isn't true and he is just an abusive fare-dodger then I'd say he got his just deserts...

Tricky one when we don't know the truth...

Indeed, it was a bit harsh chucking him off after he said "I'm terribly sorry, but I can't seem to find my ticket at the moment. Is there anything that we can do to resolve the situation amicably?"

That's what happened, right? I mean, he didn't sit there drunk, belligerent and swearing, right? Right?

Idiot didn't even have the decency to keep his head down and keep quiet about it. He's already whining about his, "rough treatment" and now daddy has stepped in too, fuckwitts.
Can't see it ending well for the Big man though.

The person that uploaded the video to youtube has stitched the 'Big man' up really. They were probably uploading it in support of him, to show his cool actions but now the fare dodger will probably end up getting compensation, the ticket inspector fired and the big man charged with assault.
The same with the black guy that throws the fat woman off the bus, the rest of the passengers seemed to be in support of him, but uploading the video is going to screw him over.

I bet the big man wishes he threw the person recording with the mobile off as well now.

Unfortunately the video is only once the argument has started. If the guy had bought the ticket then I can see how he'd get belligerent about it.

Problem is you don't know how the ticket inspector had handled it up to the start of the film. It's easy to target the student in the stupid hat, I can't imagine the same kind of treatment towards a middle aged businessman even if he were being just as belligerent.

For me it all comes down to proportionality - in a situation where there's a small bit of doubt does someone deserve a bit of a beating for what is a minor infraction. I reckon the inspector should've warned the guy the cops were coming and called the transport police to the next station...

His personal facebook is in the description Laughing

At the end of the day if he hasn't paid why should he have the right to sit there when everyone else has, still though that was a teeny bit too harsh for my nanny state liking Wink

Just been on the bbc again - the big man, an investment banker from Sterling is being investigated.

It's a tricky one, the kid was supposedly sold two singles to his destination after taking advice to buy a single there and one back. So looks more and more likely that he was technically in the right.

Problem is he handled it like a knob, then the inspector didn't sort the situation like he should and then the big man got involved and went a bit OTT. Still not enough video - I wonder how it degenerated, was it 30 seconds and the kid swearing or had it gone on for a while, the bbc implied it'd gone on for quite a few minutes.

I'd like to see nothing further happening (except maybe the inspector to get a bit more training). The kid may learn to not be a knob, the big man probably won't push it so far again, everyone learns and there was no harm done.

Sure, he's the one mouthy pisshead in a million who wasn't just trying to fare dodge. He didn't check the ticket(s) at the point of purchase because something something oranges something.

Hmmm? I watched the video and the judgement of the Mighty Pepperami is .....

One cocky Little mouthy cock-wank bought the wrong ticket and thought that in this day and age he could force the issue into his favour by being a mouthy little cock-wank to an old man.
One arsey old man would`nt back down, and after assistance from big boy, the little cock-wank got what he deserved.

I wonder how gobby the cock-wank would of been if the conductor had been younger/bigger/stronger?
Maybe if he had of been a little more polite in the first place, he might of got a different result?

No more to be said......Pepperami has spoken Thumbs Up

I can't help myself...

I wonder how unhelpful the conductor would of been if the kid had been older/bigger/smarter dressed?

I'm still not defending the kid, but think how you'd be if...

1. you were mis-sold a ticket
2. you had a long day and a few drinks
3. you explained your case and were getting nowhere
4. you were told to get off a late train with potentially no more cash on you.

We've all had experiences where companies have got it wrong then tried to screw us over, I've certainly been visibly angry to staff (although never abusive). Like I said earlier we don't know how long the discussion had gone on for - the bbc implied 5-10 mins.

I can see (though not condone) how the sense of injustice would build in someone who's tired, drunk and inarticulate. My feelings against the kid really do rely on whether he had got a ticket/mis-sold ticket or not. The conductor needs more training whether he had a ticket or not, after all the conductor is the guy who is meant to handle these situations... not let them escalate.

As for 'big man' - he was definitely harsh and overly rough in his execution but I'd still prefer him to get away with it. I'd much rather have community minded folk like him around than not. He asked before he joined in.

Reminds me of when I was on the underground shortly after they banned smoking on the trains.

There's this teenager smoking away and this old guy hunched up in a seat reminds him politely that you can't smoke on the tube any more.

Teenager starts giving it all the "fuck off, I'll do what I want" guff.

Old guy stands up, reason he was hunched up in the seat is that he's nigh on seven feet tall and built like Geoff Capes/Giant Haystacks.

Whips the fag out of teenie-tossers gob & crushes it out.

One very frightened looking little boy scurried off at the next stop.

Guy seems like a twat yes....he was apparently intoxicated, tired and a student (none of those are an excuse for his behaviour but mitigating circumstances and all that bs)

The 'big guy' though can be said to have just carried out an act of either assault or battery, because of the circumstances of the situation and peoples personal perceptions of occurences recorded on video then public favour falls with him..but not the laws perception.

Just an example: Your local twat clad in burberry and Fred Perry who's a little bored at the weekend cos he can't ride his ped, which has just holed another piston, decides to go out get a little lashed down the park then encounters an OAP coming home from Tesco as they pass the twat in his intoxicated stance has a sudden explosion of teen angst and all that crap leading to him assaulting the OAP (lets say its a she just to really get fires burning) by pushing her over onto the flagstones.

In the eyes of the law both scenarios would likely be viewed in the same light with the victim: student/oap and the offender: big guy/twat chav but public perception and individual opinions as to whats right and wrong differ and most might not consider the big guy a criminal because his victim 'deserved it' according to the kangaroo court assembled at your local.

Just food for thought really and to those suggesting he got what he deserved and further such as 'he needs a clip round the lug' etc bare in mind your suggesting a more serious act of criminal behaviour is justified by his minor criminal act (if he has actually committed anything criminal at all which remains unproven).

Thumbs Down For the little prick if he claims compensation though, from what I've seen of his injuries, the damage to his 'pretty face' isn't going to impede his quality of life much (them embarassment will but thats isn't reasonable grounds for a claim I think)

*IMO What I think people are missing is.

If lets say, it was an AOP then yes circumstances would be different.

But, if the kid was polite, (being drunk doesn't mean you have to be rude) and said, look there's been a misunderstanding, can we sort this out at my stop where I can ring whoever to pay for it?

If that happened and it was delt with some responsibility it would of been fine.

The big bloke wasn't chucking him off just because he dodged a far, he was chucking him off being he (and everyone else) was probably sick of waiting on a train that was probably late anyway and this little sh!t was being rude and abusive towards someone just doing their job.

It was a accumulation of his attitude and offence.

At the end of the day, the fare dodger was kicked off the train he had no right to be on whilst holding it up for the people who have payed.

*based on the evidence that we have. And when I say 'evidence'...
*also ignoring the 'laws' view for now, as I hope common sense will prevail. Just because it's law doesn't mean it's right.

Conductor is an old fart, too old for the job.
The kid was pissed and mouthy.
Fat man strikes me as a bully who likes to throw his weight around.

Sack the old fart.
Ban the Kid from pubic transport.
Do the fat man for assault.

Fuck the three of them I say.

Get in my belly! Fuck you big man!

Some of the symptoms of hypoglycaemia (which if the lad hadn't eaten is what he would have) are disorientation, aggression, slurred speech etc.

In short, outwardly similar to being pissed.

People have died in police cells due to this type of confusion..

Only saying.....
