Hi all,

Just saying a little hello to all the BCF members, my name is Daniel. I'm a web developer from Southend working in east London. I have not had a bike for a number of years but I will run through my biking/scooter history. My first bike/scooter was a Piaggio NRG 50cc (air cooled) had this for around a year and a half and as a teenager sprayed it myself and modified the engine etc, which overall went ok.

My second scooter was a Peugeot Speedfight 100c, didn't have this bike for long ( 6 months ) but was a great scooter while I had it.

My last scooter was a Gilera Runner 172cc, this bike was quite heavily engine modified, except for the cometic side as I never actually got around to touching the bodywork as I had to sell it before I went to Uni.

Part of my reason for joining this forum is to gain some information on commuting to London by motorbike, but I'll get to that in another post.

Until then hello and speak soon.

Daniel.

Welcome Danny.

I'd say get some pics up of your bikes, but they were mopeds, so probably just don't, yea? Mr. Green

Welcome. Where abouts in east london do you work? I commuted from Hornchurch (near Romford) to a summer job in Islington when I had my RXS. The traffic was just too much for me though and I went back to the nice comfy C2C train and the tube.

That said, I'm not trying to put you off commuting by bike. I do it every day (when my bike is working...) now I live down in Southampton. But I'm just saying that commuting in London isn't for everyone.

I'd actually love to see some photos of your bikes. I have nothing against mopeds, just the majority of people that ride the things.

Agreed. Some of the death defying stunts you see moped riders pull on the roads make me cringe.

It really makes me feel sick. Recently had some muppet look really surprised when I wasn't impressed by his skid/spin in to a dedicated bike parking space. Congratufuckingwelldone, you dick.

Anyway, back on topic. Pics or GTFO and junk.
