mate of mine has a set of speakers that he wants to put downstairs so he can listen to some music in the kitchen/ambient music for parties etc. the speakers are not quality speakers, they just make sound, so looking for the cheapest amp to power them so i thought about building my own. any ideas where to start?

If you're not looking to spend much, you could probably actually buy a second hand practise amp (10-30w) from eBay for <£20.
