Hi

What do you lot wear under your leathers? I've a one piece Arlen Ness suit, which is, erm, snug. I can fit a T shirt underneath and thats about it.

Trouble is when touring in France, I sweat my tits off, and they're a PITA to get off.

Seen these: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/COOLMAX-MOTORCYCLE-UNDER-INNER-1-PIECE-SUIT-LARGE-/310194115293?_trksid=p5197.m7&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D5%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D6344988346047283323

on the bay and wondered if anyone has one, or alternatives.

Normally just a t-shirt and boxers. Shorts at a push if it's a bit nippy out. If i'm cold then i'll put a fleece/hoodie over my leather jacket which keeps things quite toasty and can come off easier.

Noo, I mean when it's 40 degree, paddling pool of sweat on my testicles hot, and they stick to my legs, so I have to peel them off.

I want to be coooooooool.

Ahhhh. I have no solution to this, boxers and a tshirt - normally like a gym one that soaks the sweat through better.

Leathers with the little holes in help as well, but only when you're on the move at a decent pace. If there is a way to stay cool in a hot town centre when riding in summer, i'd love to know it as well!

The base layers will wick away your sweat, but not really keep you cool.

They will however make it much easier to remove your leathers.

Try lubing up your legs with KY Jelly? Cool

Or just wear some trackies or some crap under them, something thin to deter skin contact

proskins one piece undersuit.
Brilliant bit of kit, keeps you warm in winter and cool in summer.
Shop around and you'll find one cheap, i think i paid £35 for mine.
Also make leathers slide on/off easy.

I've got a set of Bike-It coolmax and thermolite base layers.

I swear by base layers, use them all the time when playing sports or doing any kind of activity.

People might think that an extra layer in summer would make you warmer, but they wick the sweat away from your skin which keeps you cooler.

The cooling ones will be cold in winter though, so you might want a set to keep you warm as well

Wear talc next to your skin...that should help you glide in and out whilst hot and sweaty. Wink

Or just make a smelly sticky white mess that'll stain your leathers.

Aramis 900 and a smile Laughing
(to plagirise the Maralyn Monroe quote, asked what she wore to bed!)

Very rarely wear the full leathers these days, TBH.
In summer, will tend to just have undies & a T under them.
In winter? for a long ride; long johns under jeans, T and a thin sweat shirt under the jacket... But I'll then put my denim jeans and a baggier jumper, or Ski-Jacket OVER the jacket.

Leather 'chills' and found over far too many winters to want to remember that layers over the TOP of the leather, stop the leather chilling so badly and keep you warmer, and usually more comfortable than trying to squeeze layers underneath it and ending up in something akin to an inflatable sumo-suit!
