Any recommendations for somewhere that will service my bike and not take my eyes out in Newcastle?

Plenty of places up Westgate Road but I don't know who's good and who just wants to rape my wallet.

I've not got the time or the inclination to do it myself

Not that I've used it, but I was recommended to go to WSB which is on the left going up the hill, half way up next to the Hill Cafe.

I've spoken to the guy right at the bottom on the opposite side 'Armstrong Engineering' and he seemed honest enough.

I'd use Newcastle Motorcycles on scotswood road before I'd go near M&S personally, went there for my MOT, no problems, nice, professional staff, sexy girl in the clothes department (she's married Sad ).

Whatever you do, don't use 20 20 Motorcycles as they are rip off merchants.

My mate used M&S for a service, they broke something and then made it out like they were doing him a favour by replacing it. Confused

Avoid M&S like the plague - The most overpriced dealers in the NE! Reputation worse than shit too!!

I have heard very good things about DIT though havent used them myself!

I personally recommend Barkers Bikes in Boldon, or North East Motorcycles in Nevilles Cross, Co Durham (The latter is a Suzi dealer but only charges normal rates!)

Actually rang M&S before posting this thread, and after about 30 seconds on the phone to the "service" dept, I decided I'd rather let my Grandma carry out the service.

Besides that they're always a bunch of arrogant ****s any time I go in there. Doubt they'll ever see any of my money.

I bought my bike from M&S and it came with a full 'service'.

After going out on it about 6 times, I decided to check the oil level. Wasn't even registering on the port hole.

Would not trust them anymore and they certainly aren't getting any more of my cash.

Who's good round Redcar/Teesside these days?
I generally do most stuff myself but people ask me where they could get their bike done.
The Darlington boys look OK mind.

Another Thumbs Up for Darren, top bloke, doesnt rip your eyes out and a bit of a perfectionist.

he replaced my fork oil seals, had a few problems with the forks still leaking and he looked at them a few times for free, turned out it was weeping from a different area which was nothing to do with his work, but was still happy to diagnose them for free
