Probbably wants to be in the workshop, however as its more of a passing question that a serious "help me!!" ive put it in here.

Derbi's 2t 125 engine was a yamaha wasnt it? Same as found in the DT. The internet tells me this without too much hassle.

What about the 4t 4v powerplant? Read a post on thumpertalk hinting it was based on a CRF150 engine. Then again i cant pull up anything shedding any light on it! Then i came across a load of sites mentioning about aprilia's 4 stroke when discussing performance parts. Then again there was a times article mentioning a honda connection. Derbi also offered at one point a 150cc big bore upgrade - again making me wonder if the CRF story was actually bollocks. Then derbi's website hints that it is actually a derbi designed engine.


At a complete loss, and its irritating me slightly!
