Not much help but when I registered an import they needed insurance and a current MOT to issue a logbook along with a tax disc and reg plate. I'd try to get it mot'd by rebuilding it from another bike and go from there. I have a German TDR unregistered and a British frame with a log book, your doing it wrong
I'd think with the frame number it'd be pretty east to establish age as for the import duty I just ticked 'paid' |

thanks for the reply, frame numbers are all intact so thats a good sign, what would happen if i rebuilt the bike, went to register it, turns out it was nicked in america and imported over here? Would i lose all the bike despite me building it?
Also, using a VIN decoder Ive discovered it was manufactured in 2000, so a better result there ____________________ Ex bikes: 05 Suzuki En 125, '98 Yamaha Thundercat, '08 Honda cbr125, '05 Kawasaki z750, '03 Triumph Daytona 600, '91 Kawasaki ex250, '03 Hyosung Comet 125

Hi
To register it you need proof of age. Few places around that can provide that proof, such as the VJMCC. However they will be providing age for a bike, not just a frame. If being legitimate you are probably a bit stuffed as you will be trying to register a bike made from parts of several others and so of indeterminate age, which should result in a Q plate.
All the best

Damn, am I right in thinking q-plates are very difficult and expensive to insure? Only 18 BTW so insurance is pricey enough.
Could I get an age check done then when it comes to registering leave 'engine number' blank, its how it is on my current uk bike. ____________________ Ex bikes: 05 Suzuki En 125, '98 Yamaha Thundercat, '08 Honda cbr125, '05 Kawasaki z750, '03 Triumph Daytona 600, '91 Kawasaki ex250, '03 Hyosung Comet 125
